La lesión de Carvajal abre al brasileño la oportunidad de mantenerse en el once titular de Zidane ante la llegada de un tramo de temporada decisivo

La pieza de Vinicius tiene encaje en el puzle de Zidane. La lesión de Carvajal, que puede estar al menos mes y medio de baja, deja sitio en el once al brasileño de cara al tramo decisivo de temporada que se avecina. Las bajas de Hazard y Lucas Vázquez le han abierto paso en los últimos partidos. El regreso del gallego le auguraba un nuevo regreso al banquillo, pero el infortunio de las lesiones que persigue al de Leganés obliga a Zidane a recomponer su once en una fórmula en la que encuentra acomodo Vinicius.

Al inicio de la temporada pasada el entrenador blanco zanjaba el debate de por qué no jugaba el carioca. “El año pasado no estaba Hazard”, explicaba simple y llanamente Zidane. La competencia del último galáctico cerraba el paso a Vinicius. El once ideal del francés contempla un tridente de ataque con Benzema flanqueado por el belga y Asensio. El buen rendimiento de Lucas Vázquez cuando ha suplido a Carvajal en el lateral y la versatilidad de Asensio (Vinicius se siente incómodo por la derecha) para jugar por una u otra banda, relegó a Vinicius a una segunda línea a la hora de cubrir las ausencias de Hazard.

El brasileño inauguró con su gol al Sevilla (con la inestimable colaboración de Bono, el portero hispalense) su mejor tramo de la temporada. Completó el partido del Pizjuán y repitió titularidad en los tres siguientes, incluyendo el derbi y el decisivo encuentro de Champions contra el Borussia Mönchengladbach en el Di Stéfano. Una gastroenteritis le borró del partido en Eibar y desde entonces, y hasta el partido contra el Huesca, sólo recuperó la titularidad en la eliminatoria de Copa contra el Alcoyano.
