It’s a modern day tragedy to see that no top soccer clubs even mention the name of the once dreaded José mourinho when they search for a good coach/manager.
How the mighty are fallen!!!
How did he get to this level??
Is there any hope for the Portuguese talisman to get back to his A-list and once glimmering coaching career??
It baffles my wildest but curious imagination that he’s now a full time Sky-sport pundit while so many once-upon-a-time top clubs that needs some positive shakings and revival don’t even mention his name- Dios mio!!!
The rise and fall of José Mourinho:
From a relatively unknown translator at Barcelona to winning the champions league for underdogs Porto in 2003,
Immediately he caught the eyes of the football world and Chelsea’s billionaire brought him to London where he won 2 EPL and FA cups, but couldn’t win the UCL( la raison d’être he was paid heavily by Roman Abramovich).
He finally won his 2nd UCL at Inter Milan in 2010( probably his last one and almost a decade now).
Tried to replicate same success at Real Madrid but failed on 3 occasions.
What about the fall??
His fall is now eclipsing his rise:
The early signs of crack in the wall starting showing at Madrid, but when he came back to Chelsea the second time, it became evident for all to see.
Then Manchester united got a full glimpse of a new José mourinho as never seen before.
Though he hasn’t always been like this before; Jose has always been so compassionate, with excellent man management skills as he brought out the best in players at Porto, Chelsea and Internazionale.
Why no top club wants him again?
- Who needs a coach to run down its smooth operations with his weekly media outbursts against the top management?
- Which players and team need a manager that will publicly criticize them endlessly for not loosing a match( remember when his rumored Madrid move early 2019, Captain Ramos openly said he will leave the club should papa Perez sign him- likewise others)??
- Who needs a dinosaur again in 21st century when the Klopps, Guardiolas and Zizous are readily available ? – his outdated skills, negative approach and philosophy isnt in vogue again, maybe it might work at Sky sport.
Conclusion:
It’s high time Mourinho realized where he has fallen from and start again on a positive note again.
While no top club would risk his signature.
He might think of going a little lower like taking A.C Milan back to Europe’s top flight, leading Leicester city to win the EPL again, helping Monaco or F.C Porto win a treble,
Then and only then can the top shots think of considering him again
